about
Coming from the ghettos of The Bronx, New York, Grunt arrived in the late 1990s/early 2000s in the local metal scene. They had the most in-fighting of any band, but what they lacked in camaraderie, they made up for with fiery live performances and a dedicated following. Over the years they performed in the tri-state area constantly, releasing two demos, a full-length album, "Twice Thru Hell", and built a die-hard following. The band headlined at legendary venues such as CBGB's, The Continental, Coney Island High, Castle Heights, Limelight, Wild Spirits, The Elbow Room, Don Hills, L'Amour, The Spiral, The Pyramid Club, The Voodoo Lounge, and more. They opened for such legends as Testament, S.O.D., DORO, Shadows Fall, Immolation, Whiplash, and others. "Eternal Damnation" is the 9th track from "Twice Thru Hell" (now out of print), released on March 3rd, 2000. The track was remixed by Keefy from a source file, but cannot be remastered since the DAT's and 2-Inch tapes from the original recording sessions are lost to antiquity.

Biased bassist opinion: The bass guitar driven sound of this massive power metal masterpiece made me want to grab MY bass and learn every song in a way that hasn't happened to me since the first time I heard Iron Maiden - Powerslave! These aural annihilation anthems are filled with expert musicianship and exquisite lyrics belted by one of the best voices metal has to offer! Do not pass this one up! annimax_metal
